teletherapist.org is software: a directory, and later booking, payment and a video room. It is not a therapy practice, a clinic, an employer or a referral service.
You are an independent licensed or certified professional. You decide who you see, what you charge, how you treat, and what records you keep. You are responsible for your licence in every state where you see clients, your telepractice consent, your insurance, your records and your billing.
We check the licence or certification you give us with its board, and we recheck it yearly. A badge records that check and its date. It is not a certification and does not vouch for your work.
Listing is free. The badge and the platform are flat fees, billed to you. We never take a share of what a client pays you and we are never paid for sending a client to you.
If you use our booking, video or notes, we act as your business associate under HIPAA and sign a business associate agreement with you. We use only vendors that sign one with us. The directory itself holds no client information.
You confirm everything on it is true and current. We may remove a listing we cannot verify or that a board reports as restricted.
Delete your listing any time with your edit link. We remove your data within 30 days, except records we must keep for the checks we made.
