How long

Six modules of four lessons each, about fifteen hours of study over the eight-week term. Every lesson carries a case, a mistake to spot and a task to do in your own setup. Each module ends with a checklist, a five-question quiz and a piece of written work that a licensed clinician grades against a rubric and returns with comments. Then a timed exam: one hundred questions drawn from a bank of three hundred, two hours, pass mark 80 percent, two sittings a term. Last, one twenty to thirty minute recorded mock session, scored against a twelve-point checklist with timestamped comments back.

Who can enrol

Any licensed therapist in the kinds we list, and licensed assistants. Your licence is confirmed on your teletherapist profile before you enrol.

Who it is for

Every licensed therapist who sees clients online

What you will learn

  1. The room: light, sound, camera, what the child sees
  2. Privacy: HIPAA-grade video, business associate agreements, what never goes in chat
  3. Consent for telehealth, and the parent in the room
  4. Which states you can see clients in, and how to check
  5. The emergency plan: a child alone, a dropped call, a crisis
  6. Session structure on a screen: attention, materials, breaks
  7. Documentation and home practice that actually happens
  8. Exam, then one recorded mock session reviewed against the checklist

What you earn

teletherapist Certified: Teletherapy

The seal goes on your teletherapist profile the day you pass, with the date, the licensed reviewer who signed it off, and a verification page anyone can open. It is a teletherapist certification, not a state licence or a board certification, and it says so on the seal.
